TOP FIVE MOST NOTABLE CHANGES MADE FOR TEMPLE RUN 2

As requested, here comes my own Top five entry about this highly acclaimed game application for Smartphones. A lot of modification were made and most of them are truly impressive. It is an all new game indeed so allow me to list down five of the most notable changes made for Temple Run 2.
Basically, Temple Run 2 is an endless running game in which your main objective is to run as fast as you can, avoid several obstacles and hazards, prevent yourself from falling into pit and collect as many coins as you can. The first Temple Run is huge success and I believe that the second version will satisfy you more. The list below is done subjectively so if you have any suggestions or "violent reactions" feel free to say so and it will be well appreciated.

"NEW POWER UPS AND ABILITIES"

The game introduces "Abilities" as a replacement for the Power Ups used from the first game. Abilities are upgradable and apart from the previous power ups such as Coin Magnet, Coin Values, Boost, and Mega Coin, Temple Run 2 will feature additional abilities including the Shield, Power Meter, Head Start and Score Multiplier. Head Start will be offered automatically as long as your money is good enough to purchase such ability. What makes this version more interesting is the "Power Ups" which is presented in a very new approach. Power ups are the special skills that you can equip with your chosen character. You can choose one skill per character such as Boost, Coin Magnet, Shield, Score Bonus, and Gem Bonus. You can also upgrade them through gems to make them last longer. Skills like Invisibility were taken put from the concept. I find "Boost" more effective than any other power ups because it will give you some sort of invulnerability. Shield will work only for spikes, fire, and humps and it only work once.

TOP 4 MOST NOTABLE CHANGES MADE FOR TEMPLE RUN 2
"ZIP LINES"

One of the newest offerings of Temple Run 2 is the Zip Line. This is actually the very first obstacle that you will encounter. Zip Lines are actually the easiest and the most wonderful part of the game. It feels like it is your resting place since you do not have to do anything once your hanging there. In addition to that, Zip Lines are usually filled with coins so you might want to grab that opportunity as well. But of course, you have  to jump here as accurate as possible, otherwise, you'll fall. Landing to the other side is one great challenge too and you have to prepare yourself  for the upcoming obstacles.

TOP 3 MOST NOTABLE CHANGES MADE FOR TEMPLE RUN 2
"SAVE ME"

If you love to buy the Resurrection Wings from the first Temple Run Game to keep yourself in the game, then you will not being seeing any of them here. Resurrection Wings were eliminated from the menu and you do not have to buy anything because you just ave to collect Gems which appear occasionally along with other power ups. Save Me Gems can be used to keep your character alive and you can use such skill infinitely as long as you have  enough gems. Keep in mind that more you got killed, the higher the gems will be required to respawn your character. This approach however, makes Temple Run 2 much easier to deal with compare to its predecessor.

TOP 2 MOST NOTABLE CHANGES MADE FOR TEMPLE RUN 2
"INTRODUCING MINE TRACKS"

Aside from the Zip lines, another interesting addition in Temple Run 2 are the Mine Tracks. Entering mines is absolutely the most thrilling part. Your character will be riding a cart and navigate through a maze like tracks. In most instances, the tracks will split and you have to choose a way which could either take you to a longer tracks or escape out of the mine. The mine doesn't allow you to jump and you just have to tilt the phone to dodge several obstacles. Interestingly, you cannot tell what kind of obstcale awaits after making turns which makes the game even more challenging. I also notice that the cart speed is somehow constant or it runs quite slower compare to the speed you have outside.

THE MOST NOTABLE CHANGES MADE FOR TEMPLE RUN 2
"NEW ENVIRONMENT"

Generally, the best feature that is being offered by this new version is the all new atmosphere. If you're tired and bored of the usual paths from the first game, then expect to encounter a new environment for Temple Run 2. It seems that you are in Sky castle or something like that. The game offers an impressive view and the animation were highly modified. Some of the notable scenes are the woods, rocky bridges, streams, mines, hanging bridge, and a whole lot more. The demonic monkeys were replaced by a gigantic one too.
