"FRED FLINSTONES AND BARNEY RUBBLES"
(FROM THE FLINSTONES)

Fred is a typical blue-collar worker, who works as a "bronto crane operator" at Slate Rock and Gravel Company (also known as Rockhead and Quarry Cave Construction Company in the earliest episodes).Fred tends to be loud-mouthed, aggressive, and constantly scheming ways to improve his family's working class lot in life, often with unintended results..
Barney lives in the fictional prehistoric city of Bedrock, a world where dinosaurs coexist with barefoot cavemen and the cavemen enjoyed "primitive" versions of modern conveniences such as telephones, automobiles and washing machines. Hence the term, "the modern Stone Age family"Barney's interests included bowling, playing pool, poker, tinkering around in Fred's garage and playing golf, though there were episodes where Barney didn't know how to play golf. He, like Fred, was also a member of the Loyal Order of Water Buffalos lodge and its predecessor in earlier episodes, the Loyal Order of Dinosaurs. He is also a talented pianist and drummer.

"SCOOBY DOO AND SHAGGY ROGERS"

(FROM SCOOBY DOO)

http://www.lakesideamusementpark.com/scooby_shaggy_poster.jpg

Scoobert "Scooby"-Doo is a fictional dog and the eponymous character of the popular television franchise Scooby-Doo. At an early age, he was brought to the Mystery Inc. team. Scooby-Doo is a Great Dane who is the pet and best friend of Norville "Shaggy" Rogers. His real first name was unknown until an episode of A Pup Named Scooby Doo, when his mother revealed his real first name as being Scoobert (variation of Robert), much to Scooby's embarrassment.
Norville "Shaggy" Rogers is a fictional character in the American animated television series Scooby-Doo, about the adventures of four crime-solving teenagers and Shaggy's pet Great Dane, Scooby-Doo. He is a cowardly slacker more interested in eating than solving mysteries. Shaggy is the second most-popular character in the franchise after Scooby himself, and is the only other Scooby-Doo character to appear in all iterations of the franchise. He also is the number one trouble maker in the gang.

"CHIP AND DALE"

http://www.tommcmahon.net/images/chipdale3b.jpg

Chip 'n Dale are two animated chipmunks created by The Walt Disney Company. Their names are a pun based on the name "Chippendale" (see Thomas Chippendale). This was suggested by Bill "Tex" Henson, a story artist at the studio. Originally the two had the same colored noses, but as a way to tell them apart, Chip was given a black nose and Dale was given a red nose.
According to Disney, Chip is the logical schemer, and Dale is the dumb schemer. An easy way to visually tell them apart is that Chip has a small black nose (it looks a bit like a chocolate "Chip" as a way to help people remember who is who) and one centered protruding tooth, whereas Dale has a big red nose and his two prominent buck teeth exposed. Chip is also depicted as having smooth, short fur atop his head while Dale's tends to be ruffled. Chip and Dale are V.I.P. members of the Mickey Mouse Club.

TOP 2 BEST CARTOON BUDDIES
"DORA AND BOOTS"

(FROM DORA THE EXPLORER)

Dora goes on an exploring trip to find something or help somebody. Dora always asks the viewers at home to help her find new ways to get to the places with the help of Map. Dora also teaches children Spanish. She sees everyone equally and mainly good no matter who the character, this noted at her not holding a grudge against Swiper for all the items he's swiped from her party. She acts against villains only when innocence sakes' depend on it and compromise is mostly impossible or unless she is somewhat strictly required to, but even still, she has yet to hold any true accounts of actual anger. Dora is very kind and will always give others a chance to try their hands at certain task for the simple thrill of seeing them excel in the skill even when/if she herself could have possibly fulfill the task faster and/or more accurately.Dora openly loves her family. She loves Boots too. He is also her best friend since she saved his beloved red boots from being swiped by Swiper.

Boots the Monkey is Dora's best friend on the show, whom she met one day in the forest. He is voiced by Harrison Chad in the original English version . Boots is friendly and enthusiastic, and usually wears nothing but his beloved red boots, hence his name, Boots. He is gray with a yellow stomach. His mommy and daddy are designed in the same way with variations in eyes, height, clothing, and fur formation.

"SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS AND PATRICK STAR"

SpongeBob SquarePants is a sea sponge in Bikini Bottom. He always worked at The Krusty Krab. He has friends & a pet. He has a boating Teacher named Mrs. Puff. He has a pineapple house. SpongeBob has several friends, such as Patrick Star and Sandy Cheeks. He looks up to his boss, Mr. Krabs, and serves as Krabs's moral compass when his greed goes too far. He is blissfully unaware that several people find him annoying. This is taken to the extreme with Squidward, who despises Spongebob, although the latter considers themselves best friends.

Patrick Star is a sea star who is SpongeBob’s best friend and neighbor. He lives under a rock and favors colorful trunks(mainly green and violet) as his attire. Patrick is not the brightest sea star in the ocean, though he did attend community college, we’re not sure what he studied. His attention span has been clocked at .02 seconds. His favorite activities include sleeping, catching jellyfish, napping, blowing bubbles, snoozing and eating ice cream. The last time we checked he did not have a job. As SpongeBob's closest pal, Patrick is always offering his advice and encouragement as they embark on various adventures, which usually get them both in trouble, though things seem to always work out in the end. But, for better or worse, Patrick will always be SpongeBob's loyal buddy.

INTERESTING BLOG OF THE MONTH ~ AUGUST 2010

It's "Interesting Blog Of the Month" time again! Whew, i thought i couldn't make it this month. I am very thankful to our featured blogger for this month for making this entry possible. Interacting with bloggers is so fun and very enjoying. This inspires me to have this Interview formatted portion in my blog. To all my fellow bloggers, let me introduce you our
INTERESTING BLOG OF THE MONTH - AUGUST 2010

Crafty-Crafted.com by Merryn Tan

Hi merryn, can you share us what is "Crafty Crafted" all about?

Crafty Crafted is a craft idea centre suitable for children or toddlers to follow. It's a place where Craftiers can share their ideas and together, we work to revive arts and crafts.

When and how did this concept started?

It started about two years back when Ethan was ONE as a blog to record and share the crafts done by Ethan and I. As I'm not very well versed in blogging then, I blogged from blogspot but a friend saw the potential of that blog and migrated it to our very own domain and hosting and now, that friend of mine is the official 'invisible' blog partner. I work on the content and he works on everything else :)

One of the high lights of your blog, aside from those creative art works, is your cute son, Ethan. We all know that it is not easy to encourage a kid to make an artwork because sometimes they are really moody. Can you share us some tips on how to set your kid on a good mood before you start making artwork with your kids?

It is all in the approach. I often heard parents telling me that they are unable to get their toddlers to be seated for a simple art session but when they come to see me and I tried working with their toddlers, it can be done. It is important to get everything set up and ready before you get started with your toddler. Toddlers have very short attention span so you won't want to keep them waiting. Lay everything (the materials) ready in front of you - make sure you've squeezed the paints into the pallets, have the brushes ready, you have a wet cloth nearby to wipe your toddler's hands or feet and everything else is well within your reach. You won't want to have to leave your toddler to run to grab something later as your toddler might create havoc with the paints laid in front of him!
The key to successfully crafting with kids is they have to understand what they are doing and make the approach as fun as possible.

We have seen a lot of blogs and most of them fall under the categories; personal, entertainment, music etc etc but there where only few who build a blog intended to share their creative artworks. Is it a sign that only few has an interest in arts? How will you encourage them if ever?

People tend to get caught up with technology that they somehow forget the importance of basic skills such as arts and crafts. Not many people have the patience to sit and spend time the artistic way with their kids. Parents these days preferred to leave that to the pre-school teachers. What they don't realise is, by crafting with their kids they are actually building that precious bond with their child that no money can buy.

I have seen a lot of your son's art works. Can you pick us at least 3 of your most favorites?

I must say that I love all of his art works but if I have to choose, it has got to be these 3 :)

Can you share us some precious tips about blogging?

The most important tips will be don't be stingy when it comes to sharing knowledge. One of the reason for the success of my craft blog is I don't hold back on information. I share what I know and I try to make it as simple as possible for others to understand and for the kids to be able to follow the craft entry. Don't abandon your blog. Make sure you update it regularly as to not lose your readers' interest :)

Thank you so much merryn, can you tell us what are the things we have to expect from Crafty Crafted.com this coming month?

Things have been pretty hectic for me the past month. I've just launched my first brick and mortar studio. It is an extension of my blog. Parents can come and see me in real person and I can actually work with their kids hands on.

This month, Crafty Crafted has also collaborated with Craft Haven (our craft supplier) so our readers can expect lots of clay art, glass painting and more in the near future.

We are also planning to run some contests to encourage parents to work together with their children and in return be rewarded with craft supplies such as finger paints, clay and more.

I've also scheduled your potato art to be published one of these days, you'll just have to wait and see when! :P

I wish more parents/bloggers will submit their art work to be shared with our readers out there. After all we are all about sharing :)

Thank YOU for your interest in the blog and thank YOU once again for crafting with your brother. You are such a sweet heart and the kids around you are lucky to have you :D

Thank you so much Merryn Tan and Ethan for allowing me to feature your blog. Please do take this "Excellent Site Award" as a matter of appreciation.

Their Newly Buy Car

HI guys, sorry if i failed to update this blog lately. I am just too busy with my school especially now that i am preparing for my upcoming midterms. I just want to share these photos of my Auntie taken last week. She showed us their newly buy car.

Well, it is not really a brand new car, it is a second hand car actually. We all know how expensive a brand new car is and i guess my Auntie and her hubby are just practical in choosing a second hand car over a brand new one. And besides, there are so many ways on how to make your car more appealing even if it is not brand new. There are many stylish and cool car accessories that you can add up to your car and make it more attractive. To improve a car performance, you can replace some of its parts if necessary or you can just upgrade its engine to provide a very satisfying driving experience. Or if you want your to look more unique, you can just change your rims or your wheels to a customized one. Well, these rims are not just for decorative purposes , they also play a very important role as they help the tires to hold the pressure. Anyway, i know they can do something to their newly buy car and make it more appealing than ever.

Let's Start To Crowdtap

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Crowdtap. All opinions are 100% mine.

If you really like the brand of a certain product and if you are very satisfied with what you’re getting from it, do you sometimes feel that you wanted to share your happiness to everyone and tell them how thankful are you to the people behind such item? Well, there is another way of helping your favorite brands and spreading word about them and that is through “crowdtapping”. Internet is such a powerful tool and this is the main concept of Crowdtap. Crowdtap is a site that will help you be involved in helping your favorite brands.
It is a different yet very interesting way of advertising a product because you will surely have fun while doing and completing each task or what so called “opportunity” given to you. Once you become a member of Crowdtap, you will also be helping a charity because 5% of your earnings will be donated on your selected charity or organization.

Being a part of Crowdtap is like being in a video game as it involves levels and badges. The more active and opportunities you make, the higher the points you received. The higher the points you get, the higher the tendency to step up another level. There are some activities where you can also get some exciting gift cards.
Now, Crowdtap is inviting everyone to crowdtap your most favorite brand and tell something about it. Now, if there is a brand that i want to crowdtap, that would be my favorite Polo Ralph Laurel. I am a big Polo Ralph Laurel fan and i have a huge collection of their semi-formal wear. You all know how obsess i am with polos and i guess it will be easier for me to crowdtap such item? How about you guys? What brand you most want to Crowdtap? Share us your thoughts by joining Crowdtap and start to Tap In at Crowdtap.com.

TOP FIVE MOST FAVORITE SONG FROM A BROADWAY MUSICAL

Lately, i noticed that i been watching a lot of Broadway musicals at Youtube. I never been into a live Opera but it is always a dream to me to witness them live. Anyway, i know i missed a lot of Top Five Entry last month so to start this month, i would love to present you my
TOP FIVE MOST FAVORITE SONG FROM A BROADWAY MUSICAL

TOP 5 MOST FAVORITE SONG FROM A BROADWAY MUSICAL
"MUSIC OF THE NIGHT"

(PHANTOM OF THE OPERA)

"The Music of the Night" is a song from the musical The Phantom of the Opera. The music was written by Andrew Lloyd Webber with lyrics by Charles Hart.

Initially made famous by Michael Crawford, the actor who originated the role of the Phantom both in London and on Broadway, the popular song has sold millions of copies worldwide and has been translated into many different languages. The Really Useful Group filmed a video starring Crawford and Sarah Brightman (who did not sing), which featured the original lyrics to the song.

TOP 4 MOST FAVORITE SONG FROM A BROADWAY MUSICAL

"SOUND OF MUSIC"

(THE SOUND OF MUSIC)

The Sound of Music is a musical with music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II and a book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse. It is based on the memoir of Maria von Trapp, The Story of the Trapp Family Singers. Many songs from the musical have become standards, including the title song "The Sound of Music", "Edelweiss", "My Favorite Things", "Climb Ev'ry Mountain" and "Do-Re-Mi". The original Broadway production, starring Mary Martin and Theodore Bikel, opened in November 1959, and the show has enjoyed numerous productions and revivals since then. It has also been made into an Academy Award-winning 1965 film musical starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer. The Sound of Music was the final musical written by Rodgers and Hammerstein;

TOP 3 MOST FAVORITE SONG FROM A BROADWAY MUSICAL

"MEMORY"

(CATS)

"Memory" is a show tune from the 1981 Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Cats sung by the character Grizabella, a one-time glamour cat who is now a shell of her former self. The song is a nostalgic remembrance of her glorious past and a declaration of her wishes to start a new life. Sung briefly in the first act and in full near the end of the show, "Memory" is the climax of the musical, and by far its most popular and well-known song. The arrangement of the lyrics in the show were changed after the initial recordings of the track, with the first verse beginning, "Midnight, not a sound from the pavement..." being used in only the brief, Act I rendition of the song and a new verse, "Memory, turn your face to the moonlight..." in its place for the Act II performance. Furthermore, the original second bridge section became the first and a new second bridge instated. Consequently, the arrangement of the lyric for a recording usually depends on whether the artist has played the role on stage.

TOP 2 MOST FAVORITE SONG FROM A BROADWAY MUSICAL

"I DREAMED A DREAM"

(LES MISERABLES)

"I Dreamed a Dream" is a song from the musical Les Misérables. It is a solo that is sung by the character Fantine during the first act. The music is by Claude-Michel Schönberg, with orchestrations by John Cameron. The English lyrics are by Herbert Kretzmer, based on the original French libretto by Alain Boublil. The song is a lament, sung by the anguished, dying and impoverished Fantine, who thinks back to happier days and wonders at all that has gone wrong in her life.

THE MOST FAVORITE SONG FROM A BROADWAY MUSICAL

"DEFYING GRAVITY"

(THE WICKED)

"Defying Gravity" is the main song from the musical Wicked, composed by Stephen Schwartz, originally recorded by Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth on November 10, 2003, and released on December 16, 2003. It is mostly a solo sung by the main character of the show, Elphaba (the Wicked Witch of the West), with two small duets at the beginning and in the middle of the song between Elphaba and her friend Glinda, and a chorus part in the end in which the citizens of Oz sing. It was performed on the BBC television programme I'd Do Anything, and as a result the song charted at no. 60 on the official UK Singles chart.
