TOP FIVE BEST AMERICAN IDOL PERFORMANCES OF ALL TIME

Today, i'll try to make my Music Monday Entry the Top Five way. We only have few days away before the much awaited American Idol Season 10 Finale. I'm sure Scotty will win this year and i' guess he's really much deserving than Lauren Alaina. But then this season is full of surprises right? Who would have thought Pia Toscano will be eliminated so early in this competition and James Durbin, the strongest contender failed to make it on the Top 3? So i guess we cannot predict the Finale result yet.
This season is much better than Season 9 but does anyone among the 12 finalists gave a remarkable performance that can be remembered in the next ten years or so?
Listed below is my personal list of five of the most notable performances on the Idol Stage in the past 10 years.

TOP 5 BEST AMERICAN IDOL PERFORMANCE OF ALL TIME
"CIRCLE OF LIFE BY JENNIFER HUDSON"
(SEASON 3)

Season 3 is my most favorite season of all. They got the most remarkable performances ever. Not to mention their great dance choreography in each and every group performances. Jennifer Hudson, unfortunately, left the season so early though i think she was not that great during her idol journey except for her Circle of Life performance when they hit Elton John Songs. But of course, the Idol served as her stepping stone which gave her many opportunities including the role of Effie White in which she won an Academy Award.


TOP 4 BEST AMERICAN IDOL PERFORMANCE OF ALL TIME
"MY FUNNY VALENTINE BY MELINDA DOOLITTLE"
(SEASON 6)

If Season 3 is my most favorite Season, then Melinda Doolittle is my most favorite Idol Contestant. She's the most down to Earth Idol contestant ever and consistently giving spectacular performances on stage. My Funny Valentine is one of her best on notable Idol performances.

"YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME BY BLAKE LEWIS"
(SEASON 6)

Blake Lewis may not be the strongest vocal performer in Idol but his beat-box style in singing made almost all his performances outstanding. His version of Bon Jovi's You Give Love A Bad Name is my most favorite.

TOP 2 BEST AMERICAN IDOL PERFORMANCE OF ALL TIME
"MAD WORLD BY ADAM LAMBERT"
(SEASON 8)

With all that Drama on stage, no doubt, Adam Lambert's version of Tears For Fears Mad World is one of Best American Idol Performances of all time. I think Adam is the one who started that Drama effect on Idol. Remember Siobhan Magnus' Paint it Black and of course James Durbin's Saturday Night's Alright performances? I guess they are all inspired and patterned to Adam's dramatic performances.

"SUMMERTIME BY FANTASIA BARRINO "
(SEASON 3)

Fantasia's Summertime is filled with Emotion and it's like pretty magical whenever she sings. Right now, every time an Idol sing Summertime, they use Fantasia's version as a standard. Guess what, Fantasia never heard of this song prior to the competition! Amazing!
