Bluedreamer's Random Notes # 1

Yay! Good morning guys. I am going to have this "Random Notes" portion starting today. Well, first, got the idea from Mr Panda (Foongpc). Oh well, nothing is really special about this one and it is nothing more but those random things that I would like to share. It could be events, trivia or something that took my attention and interest this past week.
1. First , I would like to greet you guys a Prosperous and Blissful Chinese New Year. I was really confused about the proper greeting actually. I came across several blogs and they used to greet their fellow bloggers a "Kung Hei Fat Choi" while others make use of the "Gong Xi Fa Cai". Until our Parish Priest discussed it in his homily stating that Kung Hei Fat Choi is used by Chinese who are speaking Cantonese while Gong Xi Fa Cai is a Mandarin. Well, at least, it was an interesting trivia for me right. Although i  still dunno how to identify the Cantonese and Mandarin .. yikes.
 2. I won a raffle last week and I got these Hershey's Nuggets and Pik-Nik chips as my prize. Of course, i saved a lot for me LOL.
3. A day after, another batch of Chocolates came in as we had a visitor and she gave this to us ^_^  Who am I to refuse to such sweet blessing haha. Okay, so I am not surprised why I a gaining a lot of weight. Grrrgh.
4. Yeah... got my hair cut last week and my siblings never get tired of teasing me since then.

5. Here's my newest addiction after the LostWind series. I love the new version of Temple Run and I guess I will make a separate Top Five entry for that. The gameplay became more complex, it takes you to a new environment, new power up system and more. Here's my highest score so far.. what's yours ?

TOP FIVE MOST COMMONLY USED PLOTLINES IN PHILIPPINE TV SERIES

Philippine Drama or most popularly known as Teleserye has become a part of our Filipino households. It drastically evolved all through out the years. A lot of improvements were applied and several changes were made. We have heavy dramas, soap operas which usually last for years during the early 90s. Teleseryes are usually presented in many different forms. We have fantaseryes (features fantasy and fictional stories), epicseryes (period series) and more. However, despite of these major changes in their landscape, the plotlines are usually very identical to each other and most of them has this so called "formula" that will make you say "Oh that is definitely a Filipino Teleserye". So Allow me to list down five of the most commonly used plotline in Philippine Tv Series.

TOP 5 MOST COMMONLY USED PLOTLINE IN PHILIPPINE TV SERIES
"IT'S A VERY SMALL WORLD"
It is really a small world after all. Twists is one of the most common elements in teleseryes and do not be surprised if one of the supporting characters revealed himself as the main character's  father or the main's characters mortal enemy is his long lost brother. If you used to watch Philippine drama series, you will absolutely come to a point that these particular climaxes are not really climatic anymore because the story are somehow predictable and you surely know how the story will run. Betrayals is also one of the most commonly and the most recently used plotlines in Philippine tv. It could either be your bestfriend who has a secret relationship with your partner and more.

TOP 4 MOST COMMONLY USED PLOTLINE IN PHILIPPINE TV SERIES
"I'M ADOPTED!!"

One of the most common highlights in Philippine Drama is when secrets about the main character's real identity is revealed. Oh guess what, she's an adopted child and her parents never told her because they're afraid that she's going to leave them and be with her biological parents. Usually the situation will be executed by walking out of the house or locking herself up in her room. She will eventually become eager to search her biological parents. She will soon discover that her parents left her in front of the convent or orphanage and will start to interrogate other people to unlock more secrets behind her past. It's a very common plotline indeed.

TOP 3 MOST COMMONLY USED PLOTLINE IN PHILIPPINE TV SERIES
"MY BEST FRIEND LOVES ME"
A romantic drama usually involves a love triangle which is definitely an impressive approach but when it comes to a teleserye, it is usually a love triangle between a boy, a girl and her bestfriend. The best friend will usually support her friend all though out , realizing that he's starting to fall in love with her but afraid to tell her his feelings because it might ruined their friendship. He will even support her when the girl tell him that she's in loved with someone and because they are bestfriend, he is very much willing to do the sacrifice. But wait, there's more! Someone will try to encourage him to fight for his feelings. He will usually approach her friend during a climatic stage in the story. It is either before her wedding or before the other guys proposal. In the end, the girl will realized how much she love her bestfriend and would like to take their relationship in a higher level.

TOP 2 MOST COMMONLY USED PLOTLINE IN PHILIPPINE TV SERIES
"AMNESIA"
So you got an amnesia huh? Worry no more because you don't need any doctors at all. Just bump your head hard on the floor and you will surely remember everything. The most commonly used plot in Philippine television is the Amnesia plot. Oh finally, the secrets will be revealed ... go ahead tell them the truth and let them perish. However, before the revelation, an traumatic accident occurred and the main character woke up who barely remembers everything. And believe me, all these amnesia patient recovered from such nightmare not because of their medicines nor therapies but because they were involved again to another traumatic incident that draws her memory back. So epic!

THE MOST COMMONLY USED PLOTLINE IN PHILIPPINE TV SERIES
"RICH AND POOR"

This plot can be executed in two ways. It is either the Romantic or an overly Dramatic way. Romantic is more identical to Romeo and Juliet story in which a rich guy fell in love with a poor woman and vice versa. The Dramatic way, on the other hand is more like a discrimination of the poor in which rich people try to oppress the poor. Usually, both of these plots were combined in a story. The poor girl or guy is usually not accepted by the girl's family and they will try their best to keep them away from each other which is usually done by force.
